Who runs this site
I’m Manesh Kumar, a digital marketer and ecommerce founder based in Sindh, Pakistan. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, and I previously served as Deputy Assistant Director at NADRA (Pakistan’s National Database & Registration Authority), where I managed operations teams and enterprise IT systems.
More importantly for this site: I actually do the things I write about.
- I run two live ecommerce brands — MyVella Beauty (the LiftSculpt™ at-home facial toning device) and PyloBAND™ (a professional resistance-band home-gym system) — co-founded with my brother Hari Ram. Every article here about dropshipping, Shopify, or product marketing draws on running these stores day to day.
- I work both sides of affiliate marketing. As a publisher, I monetize this site and others through partnerships with Printful, Pictory, ElevenLabs, and CJ Affiliate. As an advertiser, I run affiliate programs for my own brands through MaxBounty and Awin. When I write about how affiliate programs work, it’s because I’ve sat on both sides of the table.
- I build with the tools I review. AI ad creative with HeyGen, automation workflows with n8n, WordPress development (this site runs on a theme I built myself), and email marketing across a 2,000+ subscriber newsletter on my travel blog.
The second pair of hands: Hari Ram
Hari Ram, my brother and co-founder of MyVella Beauty and PyloBAND, is the site’s second author. He writes about dropshipping business models and freelancing — the areas he works in daily, from product selection and store operations to supplier and fulfillment logistics. When a Laptop & Coffee article explains how a dropshipping model actually works, there’s a good chance it was written by someone who ran that exact model the same month. The story of this site
Laptop & Coffee started in 2023 as healingwears.com, a Blogger site covering AI tools and online business. Over 30+ published articles, it grew from roughly 1,190 to 2,475 monthly readers. In 2026, I moved everything to self-hosted WordPress under this name — same mission, better home. So while the domain is new, the publication behind it isn’t.
Editorial standards
No hype. If a side hustle pays $5 a week, I say $5 a week — not “up to $7,000 a month.”
First-hand where possible. I prioritize methods and tools I’ve tested personally or use in my own businesses. Where I haven’t, I say so and explain what the information is based on.
Trade-offs stated plainly. Every method has a downside — time, cost, skill floor, or saturation. I include it.
